Susanne Ebling

Susanne Ebling, Secretary, brings over two decades of risk management expertise and a lifelong commitment to community service to the Volunteer Collective Board of Directors. Currently Vice President of Strategic Risk Consulting Solutions at Marsh Risk, she advises Fortune 500 clients across a variety of industries, including hospitality, healthcare, manufacturing, and entertainment, on business continuity, crisis management planning, and emergency preparedness.

Prior to joining Marsh, she served as Patrol Director at multiple ski resorts, overseeing risk management programs for employees and guests alike, managing emergency responders, and leading real-world emergency operations — experience that gives her consulting work a distinctly hands-on edge that clients in the resort, hospitality, and entertainment industries immediately recognize and value.

Before moving into corporate consulting, she spent many years as Training Captain and Secretary of the Board of the Franconia Volunteer Fire Department in Fairfax County, VA, leading volunteer emergency medical operations and gaining firsthand governance experience at the board level. That spirit of service has carried through her career — from volunteering with multiple community organizations to taking on leadership roles wherever she's been.
